The Associates of Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property Group presented the fourth seminar of the In Focus series entitled 'Under the Microscope - IP and Life Sciences' on 19.05.2011.
This seminar considered how the pharmaceutical sector is dealing with the challenge of 'blockbuster' drug patent expiries and there was particular focus on the recent case law developments on supplementary protection certificates (SPCs) which are key to maintaining revenue as long as possible.
The seminar was designed for in-house counsel, lawyers, patent and trade mark agents and those in relevant fields of academia or industry who are either IP practitioners or who seek to be aware of IP issues.
