Henry joined Bird & Bird in 2011 after completing his training contract with Herbert Smith LLP. He has a scientific background and in 2005 graduated with a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Oxford University. From 2007-2009 Henry completed the Graduate Diploma in Law followed by the Legal Practice Course at BBP Law School in London.

Henry qualified as a solicitor in the Intellectual Property group based in the London office. He has been involved in a range of intellectual property matters in relation to patents, including the coordination of infringement actions in multiple jurisdictions in defence of pharmaceutical patents. Henry also has experience of trade mark, passing off and copyright matters. He has worked for clients from a number of different industries, including pharmaceutical, agricultural, and aviation. Due to his background, Henry has a particular interest in the life sciences sector.

Henry’s recent work has been acting on a patent validity dispute for a client in the enzyme industry.
