John has extensive experience across a broad range of sectors including technology, media, telecommunications, aviation, automotive, retail, life sciences and energy and utilities.

John is a Partner in the Transactional Group and has practised in Hong Kong for over 13 years. 

His practice encompasses advising a range of international and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts and arrangements in Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and South Korea. He also advises international clients on foreign direct investment into the PRC.

Recent notable transactions include advising a NASDAQ-listed US enterprise on the acquisition of certain technology and assets from a Korean developer and advising a French-owned distributor of electrical equipment on the acquisition of stakes in companies involved in the distribution of industrial and domestic electrical equipment in Malaysia and Thailand.
He is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and England & Wales.  Before joiningus, John worked at other leading international and magic circle firms in Hong Kong and Singapore.
