Marcus focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance matters and is highly experienced in regional cross border transactions in the Asian region.

Marcus is a partner in the Corporate/Commercial Group of ATMD Bird & Bird in Singapore.

Marcus's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and equity and debt capital markets. He also advises on corporate governance and Singapore stock exchange related matters. He is involved in regional cross border transactions in PRC (including Hong Kong), Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

Marcus previously practised with several international law firms in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. Marcus was also with the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited where he was in the issuers' regulation department in charge of vetting listing and IPO applicants and enforcing continuing listing obligations on listed companies.

Marcus was an adjunct tutor at the National University of Singapore, School of Business and also the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Marcus graduated with an LL.B. from the National University of Singapore and an LL.M. from the University of Virginia. He also holds a certificate in Governance as Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Marcus is qualified to practise in Singapore and New York, USA.
