Richard joined Bird & Bird as a partner on 1 November 2009 having previously been a partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner since 1998.

Richard specialises in PFI, PPI, Project Finance and related commercial work, particularly in the defence and transport sectors.

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1990 having obtained a 2:1 (Hons) LLB law degree from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1987.
