Thomas’ entrepreneurial experience enables him to see issues from the client’s perspective.

Thomas is a partner in our Hamburg office and a member of the Corporate Practice Group.

He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, project developments, financing and finance structuring, as well as real estate transactions. He focuses on companies in the life sciences and renewables sectors. His clients include banks, funds initiators, equity and mezzanine providers, renewable and biotechnology companies. He is now also working with companies in the sectors of new media, investment and project developers.

Having established various family businesses in the area of agriculture and food, Thomas studied law at the university in Kiel and subsequently worked for a corporate law firm with an international focus. Later on, he co-founded Field Fisher Waterhouse Deutschland LLP and thereafter led, together with other partners, a boutique law firm specialised in corporate and real estate law which has been entirely transferred to Bird & Bird. 

Thomas further enhanced his entrepreneurial and business background through his Executive MBA, London (Kingston University).
