Ulf regularly successfully advises household names in the life sciences and food and beverage industries on litigation, intellectual property and unfair competition.

Ulf is joint-head of the International Food and Beverage Group and partner in our Dispute Resolution, Life Sciences and Intellectual Property (IP) Groups. He is based in the Frankfurt office.

Ulf advises European and US clients in the areas of IP and unfair competition law. He focuses on litigation and arbitration as well as extra-judicial advice. Ulf advises clients in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and food industries; specialising in regulatory work for these sectors.

Prior to joining us in 2008, Ulf was a partner at the Germany-based law firm Gaedertz Rechtsanwälte, which merged with US law firm Mayer Brown in 2001.

Ulf is lecturer at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and at Deutsche AnwaltsAkademie (German Lawyers' Academy). He regularly speaks at seminars and conferences and contributes to various publications: he’s the  editor of law magazine Lebensmittel & Recht (Food & Law),  author of Münchener Anwaltshandbuch Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz (Munich Handbook IP-Law),  editor and author of Gesundheitsbezogene Lebensmittel (Food-related Law) and  author of the Guide to EU Pharmaceutical Regulatory Law.
