Swee Siang is an experienced Dispute Resolution lawyer, handling cases at all levels of the Singapore Courts as well as high value international arbitration cases

Swee Siang is a Partner in ATMD Bird & Bird LLP in Singapore, where he heads the Dispute Resolution practice group. He has been practising in the field of civil litigation and international arbitration for more than 15 years, and has handled aspects of litigation at all levels: from the Subordinate Courts through to the Court of Appeal. He was involved in the largest representative action in Singapore's history to date, and more recently, has represented international banks and large corporations in various matters heard in the High Court.
Swee Siang has experience in the areas of commercial and banking litigation, defamation, professional negligence, construction law, family law and employment law: a field within which he advises a number of multi-national companies and international airlines.

He also has extensive experience in the field of domestic as well as international arbitration, having regularly represented parties in high value international arbitrations involving various rules, including ICC, SIAC, LCIA and Swiss Rules of Arbitration. He has also acted in ad hoc arbitrations.

Currently, Swee Siang is a trainer in the Advocacy module and a Tutor in the subject of Civil Procedure Practice for the postgraduate Preparatory Course Leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations conducted by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. He has also been invited to speak at various seminars on employment law.
