Her scientific background, industry knowledge and experience as an Inspector give Hanneke a unique understanding of regulatory matters in the Life Sciences sector.
Hanneke is both a lawyer and a pharmacist who specialises in Life Sciences, based in The Hague.
She is a former Inspector for Clinical Trials and Pharmacovigilance at the Netherlands Inspectorate for Healthcare (IGZ) which gives Hanneke a unique perspective and understanding of regulatory matters in the Life Sciences sector, especially in the medical and pharmaceutical field.
Hanneke advises Life Sciences and Healthcare clients on a range of issues, usually with a regulatory focus. Her areas of expertise cover issues relating to marketing authorisations, reimbursement, compliance, pharmaco vigilance and advertising issues, particularly with regard to medicinal products and medical devices. She also assists clients with product liability issues with respect to medical devices. In addition, she has experience of assisting the corporate M&A team with IP and regulatory issues concerning transactions in the Life Sciences field.
In addition, she is a Member of both the Dutch Association for Pharmacy and Law (VFR) and the Dutch Association for Health Law.
Hanneke studied Law and Pharmacy at Utrecht University and holds a PhD in clinical pharmacokinetics from Radboud University, Nijmegen. She regularly publishes on Regulatory Life Sciences issues, such as new European legislation and the impact of recent judgments.
