Laïd Estelle’s experience of working in a very well-known boutique firm specialised in restructuring as well as an international law firm and providing training for readers of Les Echos on “How to take-over a company in difficulties” gives her a wealth of expertise.

Laïd Estelle is a senior associate in our International Restructuring & Insolvency Group based in Paris.

She acts both as counsel and in litigation for groups of companies or businesses in difficulty, as well as creditors, in the context of the "prevention of difficulties" or safeguard processes, in “sauvegarde”, “redressement judiciaire” [receivership] or “liquidation judiciaire” [liquidation proceedings], and generally in restructuring strategy.

Laïd Estelle assists potential buyers, shareholders and sometimes financial advisers taking part in take-over bids organised through insolvency proceedings. She follows-up and advises companies and group of companies which are subject to French and also European insolvency law proceedings.

She joined us in October 2008 having worked within French firms specialised in insolvency proceedings, notably the law firm Poulain et Associés.

Ranked first in her class throughout her LLB and LLM studies.  Laïd Estelle holds a Master’s degree in Corporate and Tax Law from the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and an LLM from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2004.
Laïd Estelle was called to the Paris Bar in 2002.
She speaks French and English.
