Mahmut is one of Sweden’s leading tax experts, noted for his ability to advise on a wide variety of tax matters in Sweden and internationally.

Mahmut is a partner in our Stockholm office and a partner in the Tax Practice Group. He joined our Stockholm office in November 2006. Before joining us, he worked for five years as a tax expert at one of the major law firms in Sweden.

Mahmut is an experienced tax expert with many years of practice, having worked for 13 years at “Skatteverket”, the Swedish Tax Authority. He has considerable experience in providing tax advice both in Sweden and internationally.

Mahmut graduated from Stockholm University with a Degree of Master of Science in Business and Economics in 1988 and with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2001.

Mahmut is a member of the Swedish Bar Association and IFA (International Fiscal Association). He is one of the co-editors of the tax section of Karnov, the leading Swedish journal for statutory comments and he is one of the authors of the recently published Swedish “Comment of the Income Tax Act”.
