We are currently seeking a dedicated Junior Lawyer to join our Data Protection and Privacy practice.
Junior Associate – Data Protection (Milan)
The work we do is both high quality and highly demanding. Our clients work at the cutting-edge of their industry sectors and we expect all our lawyers to think creatively in response to the challenges that this brings.
The role:-
From day one you will take on responsibility and work mainly with our IP and IT lawyers, providing advice and support on all data protection related matters, including conducting searches on data protection and technology issues, assisting in data protection compliance programmes. You will also be required to perform day to day duties including deep legal analysis, drafting of contracts and preparing filings for the DPA.
What we are looking for:-
We recognise that our lawyers are our most important asset and we are looking to recruit a talented junior lawyer with a genuine passion for data protection. You will be an academically strong graduate (rewarded with top marks), with at least one year’s experience in a law firm (preferably an international one), capable of developing expert legal skills and commercial acumen. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must. Previous experience in Data Protection matters would be beneficial with some working knowledge on ICT law. But more importantly we look for well-rounded, articulate team-players, with the ability to forge strong working relationships, willing to work hard and seek candidates who have a long-term interest in Bird & Bird and the legal practice area of Data Protection and Privacy.
