As from 25 May, organisations will need user consent for all cookies, other than those which are really essential to deliver an online service. Draft regulations, which may clarify how consent can be obtained, are due to be published at the end of March. The Information Commissioner is consulting on draft guidance on the new rules.
Join our morning briefing on this on 10 May: we will be joined by Dave Evans, Group Manager, Business & Industry, and the policy lead at the Information Commissioner's Office for the new rules and Nick Stringer, Director of Regulatory Affairs at industry body, the Internet Advertising Bureau UK, who will talk about the new rules and the industry approach to them.
