Björn Schigulski is a member of Bird & Bird Germany’s Corporate Practice Group. He provides legal advice to international and national clients in all areas of corporate and commercial law, particularly with regard to national and cross-border mergers & acquisitions including restructurings.

Björn studied law in Constance from 1999 till 2003 and passed his First State Exam in 2004. After his legal studies he worked for HOCHTIEF AG, one of the world's leading construction companies. He spent his legal clerkship with the Regional Court in Düsseldorf and also worked for international corporate law firms in Düsseldorf and Miami (USA). In August 2006 he passed his Second State Exam. Both during his legal studies and his legal clerkship Björn was principally involved in commercial and corporate law.

He joined Bird & Bird’s Düsseldorf office in February 2007 and was admitted to the German Bar in April 2007.

In 2010 Björn completed his doctoral thesis on “The strategic restructuring of a stock corporation” (“Die strategische Umstrukturierung einer Aktiengesellschaft”) at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena.
