Claire joined Bird & Bird as a trainee in September 2006 after graduating with a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Oxford University, and qualified into the Intellectual Property Group in 2008.
Claire has advised on a range of intellectual property matters, mainly contentious and has worked for national and international clients from a number of industry sectors including telecommunications, pharmaceutical, IT and finance. Claire has particular experience in patent litigation in the telecommunications field including acting in the Nokia v IPCom patent action before the High Court. She has also acted in disputes relating to ownership and infringement of copyright and database rights.
Claire regularly contributes to a number of legal publications, including the Journal of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
