Emily is an Associate in Bird & Bird’s London Intellectual Property Group.

In addition to her legal qualifications, Emily holds a masters of engineering in Materials Science, Economics and Management from Oxford University. She qualified as a solicitor in 2012, having trained at Herbert Smith LLP.

Before joining Bird & Bird, Emily was involved in a number of intellectual property matters in relation to database rights, passing off, trademark infringement and patent disputes. She has represented clients across different industries including media and healthcare.

Emily has also spent six months working in-house at leading UK defence company BAE Systems Plc where she was involved in a wide range of litigation matters.

Emily recently contributed an article to the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice.
