Lea has in-depth knowledge of IT, digital media and copyright issues due to her extensive work in this area.

Lea Mackert is member of our  Information Technology Practice Group based in Düsseldorf.

She advises domestic  and international clients on IT, online and copyright  issues; she has specific experience in copyright levies and digital content.

Lea advises both providers and customers on IT and content projects and contracts. She also specialises in copyright levies, copyright and license issues, and related disputes; as well as advising on contractual and regulatory issues in the mobile/eCommerce, software and digital media sectors, data protection law, and on convergence topics.

Having  studied law at the University of Cologne, Lea completed the LL.M., International Studies in Intellectual Property Law, at the Technical University of Dresden and the University Robert Schuman in Straßburg. She spent her legal traineeship at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the German Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand.

Lea fluently speaks German, English and French.
