Xia’s international outlook and deep understanding of business in China bring commercial intelligence to her corporate practice.

Xia is a partner in our International Corporate Practice Group based in Shanghai.

Using her extensive legal and business experience, Xia helps clients navigate the complexities of China’s business and regulatory environment. She has steered cross-border investment and transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring, financing, direct foreign investment, public sector, employment issues and regulatory compliance.

Over more than 14 years, Xia has advised on complex issues in the manufacturing, food, sales and technology sectors. Her advice has been decisive in extensive corporate fusions and international ventures during every step of the process: from deal structure and negotiation, to the settlement of regulatory procedures.

Xia frequently contributes articles relating to mergers and acquisitions related tax and labour issues to notable publications including China Law & Practice and Shanghai Business Review. She has law degrees from universities in both Peking University in China and Duke University in the USA, and an MBA degree in finance from the University of New Mexico (USA). 

Before she joined us in 2012 Xia worked for firms including White & Case, Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Dorsey & Whitney.
