Alison is a partner in the Hong Kong/China IP group. She specialises in the conduct and supervision of multijurisdictional IP and patent litigation in Asia and has worked extensively in the life sciences, banking and electronics sectors.

Her non contentious practice covers the development and implementation of IP protection strategies, regulatory advice, IP audits and clearances, and domain name disputes.

Alison has been ranked a leading IP lawyer in a number of directories/publications including Chambers Asia 2010, the International Who's Who of Life Sciences Lawyers 2010, the Intellectual Property, Hong Kong category of PLC Which Lawyer 2010, Asialaw’s Leading Lawyers 2008 and the Legal Media Group’s Guide to the World's Leading Patent Law Practitioners 2008.

Alison is a regular speaker at international conferences and was involved in lobbying the HKSAR government and the HKSAR Legislative Council on copyright law reform.  She is a member of APAA, INTA and HKTMP.

Alison qualified in Hong Kong in 1996 and in England and Wales in 1997.  She became a partner of Bird & Bird in 2004.
