David is the head of the Swedish Food & Beverage group and specialises in EU & Competition and Intellectual Property law
David joined our Stockholm office in October 2009. He is the head of the Swedish Food & Beverage Sector group and specialises in providing legal services in the areas of EU & Competition, IP and dispute resolution both on a national and international level. He is also part of the Life Science Sector group.
David has considerable experience of advising clients on a broad range of EU competition and IP law matters, including merger control, allegations of abuses of dominance, cartels, sector inquiries, private damages and infringement actions. His litigation experience encompasses both lower and appellate courts. He has represented clients in the food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, IT, transport, motor vehicle and energy sectors.
David graduated in 2006 from the University of Lund with an LL.M., having specialised in European law, and studied intellectual property and competition law at London School of Economics and Political Science, where he earned an LL.M.
He is a guest lecturer at the University of Lund teaching specialised seminars on competition and intellectual property law with a focus on innovation industries. David has published articles on intellectual property and EU law in both Swedish and international legal journals.
Prior to joining us, David was an associate at White & Case in Brussels, where he worked between 2008 and 2009. Before that he was a trainee lawyer at Hunton & Williams in Brussels.
David is fluent in Swedish, English and German.
