Paul trained at Bird & Bird and qualified into the Commercial department in September 2011, having spent time in the Banking & Finance, Intellectual Property and Sports departments since joining the firm in September 2009.  He advises on a variety of commercial contracts in the IT, telecommunications, sports and media sectors.

Paul was recently seconded for three months to the in-house legal team of a major UK sports governing body, where his experience included drafting consultancy, media access and broadcast rights agreements, as well as work relating to the impact of recent developments in European law on the UK broadcast rights environment.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Paul was a professional cricketer and played for teams in England, Australia and South Africa.
