Our International Tax Group offers a full range of business tax services, advising domestic and multi-national companies, owner-managed businesses, investors and entrepreneurs on a wide range of corporate, finance, investment and real estate transactions.
We spend much of our time on international transactional and advisory matters working together with colleagues from our offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia to manage tax projects effectively. We have particular strength in VAT and indirect taxation and, with access to specialists covering all of our 23 offices, we are one of the firms in the world that is able to offer an extensive team in this area across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
As well as transactional advice and support, we specialise in strategic tax planning for our clients in our core business sectors. We have particular experience in sectors such as e-commerce, communications, IT and venture capital and we are used to advising asset rich companies on tax-efficient strategies for holding IP, real estate and other assets.
We also provide advice and solutions on issues such as, customs duties and employment-related tax as well as handling all manner of negotiations, disputes, enquiries and investigations.
Few transactions are unaffected by taxation, but aggressive tax optimisation is not always the driving force behind them. Our approach is to make sure we fully understand the rationale of what our clients and their other advisers wish to achieve so that we can plan and structure around the key commercial, legal or regulatory objectives.
Apart from our technical excellence and strong analytical skills, clients value our pragmatic, flexible approach. We understand that tax laws and revenue practice can be unpredictable and confusing and we will always ensure that our advice is clear and concise and offers a sensible, workable solution for minimising your tax exposure.
