Farid has strong experience in information technology law, including matters relating to the internet.
Farid is an associate based in Paris; he is a member of our International Commercial Practice Group and IT Sector Group.
Advising clients on a wide range of IT and commercial issues, Farid focuses mainly on internet law (e-commerce, host providers liability, data protection), media matters and commercial law (contracts, regulatory issues, advertising law).
Farid also advises companies on various economic law issues, such as consumer law, sudden termination of an established commercial relationship and promotional operations.
In addition, Farid represents clients in pre-litigation and litigation matters in the media, communications and information technology sectors, and also for general business law issues.
He was seconded for five months to the legal department of a major e-commerce company where he was working on a variety of issues including media law, internet law, contracts and economic law.
Farid holds a Masters degree in communications law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a Masters degree in European law from the University Montpellier I. He also graduated from Sciences Po’ Aix-en-Provence (Institute of Political Science) with a specialisation in international relations.
Farid was admitted to the Paris Bar in January 2010 and joined Bird & Bird in 2011.
