Oliver joined Bird & Bird as a trainee in 2003 and qualified into the Finance Group in October 2005. He has experience of dealing with a broad range of clients in the banking and financial sector.

Oliver’s recent work has included:

• Advising on the implementation of MiFID and the Payment Services Directive as well as other aspects of FSA regulation;
• Advising on a range of Consumer Credit issues;
• Advising both aircraft manufacturers and airlines on finance transactions and asset management;
• Advising on property and film finance transactions.

Oliver recently spent six months on secondment with the legal department of a leading aircraft manufacturer based in the south of France where he worked closely with the commercial and finance departments on aircraft procurement contracts and the establishment of their presence in India.
