Our International HR Services Group is comprised of lawyers from the firm's employment,employee benefits and incentives and business immigration teams, and advises clients on the full range of HR issues on a national and international level.

It is our belief that clients should be able, in a fast moving business environment, to call on our services to coordinate and implement all of their international HR needs, whether it involves introducing a global incentive plan, addressing business immigration requirements, relocating members of its mobile workforce or implementing a cross-border restructuring programme.

The Group comprises experienced lawyers who are not only experts in local HR laws and procedures but also have considerable experience of multi-country projects and plans, including those involving expatriate contracts, business immigration, employee incentives, offshoring, works councils, trade unions and collective redundancy.

We coordinate our activities across all our international offices to ensure an integrated approach, continuity of client care and regular exchange of know-how and best practice, helping clients in Europe, Asia and North America. We like to understand every client’s business and have particular strength in the media, communications, IT, banking and financial services sectors.

Our work is broad-ranging and covers everything from recruitment to departure and beyond. This includes drafting every conceivable kind of document, policy and procedure, day-to-day advice on issues such as confidentiality, flexible working, and payroll tax, complex negotiations involving redundancy, industrial disputes or workforce consultation and representation in all manner of contentious situations involving court or tribunal hearings.

The Group also includes a number of individuals who are acknowledged experts in specialist areas of law such as business immigration, stock options and employee benefits, restrictive covenants and team moves, workplace discrimination and harassment and senior management exits.

We understand that people can be the hardest asset to manage and that laws can sometimes make that challenge even harder. Our approach is to help you understand and minimise the risks around every corner, offer clear, practical suggestions for achieving your business objectives and maintain a calm and resolute defence of your interests in the face of difficulty, disputes and deadlines.
