Sally has a wealth of experience working with businesses at the cutting edge of research and technology and whose intellectual property is of prime importance. 

Sally is one of our leading intellectual property partners having joined the firm in 2006 from Eversheds, where she was Head of IP and Life Sciences, and having spent 11 years in senior in house legal positions. 

Sally provides a full range of intellectual property commercial advice and support to her clients, including licensing, partnering and exploitation agreements, research, development and marketing collaborations. She also frequently advises clients on regulatory and ‘freedom to operate’ matters, and manages significant due diligence matters.  As a transactional intellectual property lawyer, she provides advice in relation to the protection and exploitation of a full range of IP rights, both in stand alone transactions and as part of an acquisition, divestment or investment activity. 

Before joining us, Sally spent 11 years working in-house firstly as senior legal advisor at ICI/Zeneca and latterly as Legal Director of Novartis UK. This in-house experience has given her significant insight into the need to give pragmatic and commercial advice.  Recently, Sally was one of eight pharmaceutical licensing experts drawn from around the world to work together with representatives from UNITAID and WIPO at a workshop to determine the licensing provisions for the supply of drugs to third world countries.
