Tobias is a member of Bird & Bird’s Intellectual Property Law practice group. His work focuses on Patent and Utility Model Law.

Tobias studied law at the University of Düsseldorf, where he also completed a supplementary degree in Anglo American Law.  After his first state examination he gained a Master of Laws degree with a special focus on Intellectual Property Law from the Griffith University (Australia). In 2011, he was awarded his doctor’s degree with a dissertation on Private International Law.

During his legal traineeship Tobias worked for international law firms in Düsseldorf and Brisbane and in the trademark division of the District Court Düsseldorf.
