Michael is specialised in IP and IT matters and has developed a leading reputation for his work in licensing (patents, know-how, copyrights, trade marks) and research & development agreements. He advises clients on a full range of licensing issues relating to IP and IT.
Since 1988 Michael has handled more than 3600 licenses and research & development agreements and has also acted as an arbitrator, conciliator and mediator in disputes.
Michael is also currently Head of the Licensing Department of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Munich.
Between 1996-2003 Michael was member of the German negotiation team which developed the new German-Chinese Model Contract for Know-how and Patent Licencing.
He is author and co-author of several articles and books including The License Agreement (Stumpf/Groß, 8. edition, Heidelberg 2004) and Groß/Rohrer, Licence Fees (Heidelberg 2003).
