Oliver is a partner in Bird & Bird’s Hamburg office. He advises companies comprehensively on Corporate Law, M&A Transactions, as well as reorganization and restructuring cases. He equally supervises Corporate Housekeeping for his clients.

Oliver attended the law-schools of the universities in Cologne and Freiburg i.Br., subsequently completed postgraduate studies in London. In his career he first worked with Shearman & Sterling in New York and until 2008, for McDermott Will & Emery, in Düsseldorf. Afterwards he worked for Field Fisher Waterhouse Deutschland LLP in Hamburg as a senior associate and joined a corporate boutique RECORE Business Lawyers in 2010 where he was a partner.

Oliver was lecturer for Media Law at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. He regularly published academic articles concerning corporate and media-law related topics.
