| Guarantees from the bottom up | Tuesday 7 October 2008 London | | | | | For many commercial lawyers/contract managers, guarantees are not encountered often enough to become familiar ground. Yet they can be seriously impacted by legal considerations and the relevant law, although centuries old, is surprisingly often refined by new cases. This seminar will take a look at guarantees from the bottom up - providing participants with a clear understanding of the legal principles behind their main provisions and of the points to be negotiated for each side. It will also cover post-contract issues such as how to deal with variations of a guaranteed contract and what to do when a guaranteed contract goes into default.
