International law firm Bird & Bird advises Fosun Tourism Group, the world’s leading leisure-focused integrated tourism group, on its asset purchase agreement with Thomas Cook Group plc and certain of its subsidiaries (in liquidation). Fosun Tourism Group acquired the Thomas Cook brand, the Casa Cook and Cook’s Club brands, and resort/hotel brands under the Thomas Cook brand for £11 million.
According to the agreement, the transferred assets include right, title and interest in certain trademarks, domain names, software applications, social media accounts and licences relating to the Thomas Cook, Casa Cook, Cook’s Club brands and other related brands across international markets.
The team at Bird & Bird advised Fosun Tourism Group on Corporate and Intellectual Property matters in connection with the acquisition.
