As head of our Tax group in Brussels, my practice covers the full range of business tax matters, domestically and internationally, focusing on IP-related tax in life sciences, media and tech & comms.

Over the years, I have strengthened my international tax experience (from private equity to finance structuring) by taking secondment roles in the Luxembourg office of one of the largest law firms in Europe and the New York office of a Chicago headquartered international law firm. I also advise non-profit associations on direct and indirect tax matters.

Contributing to leading Belgian and international tax reviews, I have written about the practical implications of, among others, Belgian and other European patent box regimes, the taxation of copyright income, royalty taxation, aircraft financing, holding company regimes, and non-profit associations' tax rules.

I'm a member of the Tax and Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Belgium, of the Belgian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and of the Licensing Executives Society (LESI). I am also an associate member of the Federation of European and International Associations in Belgium (FAIB).

I have become a regular conference speaker and a guest lecturer in the IP Masters Programme at the University of Brussels.

  • Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ICHEC), Postgraduate, International Tax
  • Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Erasmus Exchange Program, Financial Law
  • Universiteit Gent, Master's Degree, Law
