Caroline Grotenfelt

I'm a Counsel in our Corporate group and head of our Retail & Consumer sector group in Sweden. I specialise in M&A and corporate law.

I have extensive experience advising our domestic and international clients on complex cross-border transactions, and managing and coordinating comprehensive post-acquisition integration and restructuring projects on a multi-jurisdictional level. I also provide advice on transactions relating to public securities, including public takeovers and secondary issues, as well as incentive programs.

Based on my experience of large multi-jurisdictional and complex integration and restructuring projects, I have been involved with a firm-wide initiative in creating and implementing a number of project management tools to enhance our client services to ensure that we can offer great services and consistency on cross-border deals and projects.

As head of our Swedish retail & consumer sector group, I am also part of our international food & beverage leadership team. Within food and beverage, we work with a wide range of food and beverage organisations, at all stages of their business life cycles, including some of the world's best-known brands as well as start-ups. I appreciate the importance of staying on top of the latest developments in the sector to be able to provide clients with the highest level of service.

I'm also a member of our Tech & Comms and Media, Entertainment & Sports sector groups.

I joined Bird & Bird in 2009, after working in a global law firm's M&A department for five years.
