Eleonore Mayer

I am a senior associate in the Corporate Group at Bird & Bird in Abu Dhabi and my practice focuses on general corporate matters and corporate transactions as well as regulatory and employment matters.

I have broad experience advising clients on doing business and making foreign investment into the UAE, including corporate structuring and reorganizations in the UAE and the wider Middle East, across a wide range of industries and sectors.

From a transactional perspective I have acted on a range of corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures both locally and cross-border.

In addition to my corporate practice I also advise domestic and international clients on a variety of employment matters such as employment and director agreements, employee incentives and benefits, and employment aspects of transactions as well as redundancy and termination issues.

I have been based in the UAE nearly ten years and during this time I have learnt to adapt to the ever-changing legal landscape and I am well-versed with the peculiarities that clients may face when trying to do business in the UAE.

Before moving to the UAE, I practiced law in London, New York and Stockholm. I am admitted to the New York State Bar and I am also qualified in Sweden.
