Jeroen van der Lee

I joined our firm in 2001 as one of the founding lawyers of our office in The Hague. Today I jointly lead our Tech & Comms Group in the Netherlands.

I work on technology and commercial projects, as well as content digitisation and social media. I'm also a member of our Commercial Group.

My practice is very diverse, ranging from complex licensing deals to communication infrastructure transactions, from technology procurement to high-tech advice on topics such as artificial intelligence to big data and from multijurisdictional contracts to IT-dispute resolution. I combine a pragmatic approach with a deep understanding of the complexities that can arise in technology projects and work with my team to develop practical and innovative solutions to resolve them. My client base reflects the diversity of my practice, from innovative start-ups to Dutch and international tech-multinationals.

As well as speaking at local and international seminars, I am a member of the Dutch Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR), and was previously on the board of the Netherlands Association of Computer Lawyers (VIRA).

• Assisting a listed bio-tech company with the worldwide replacement of the legacy ERP applications by an 'agile' ERP setup that will be the backbone of the client's future IT-landscape.
• Assisting a Dutch multinational in setting up the contractual framework for the global distribution of high tech equipment and software as well as cloud and AI based management software.
• Advising a global fashion brand on the roll-out of of their webshop across Europe (including support on contracts, terms & conditions, data protection and B2C regulations).
• Advising a supplier of network equipment and services in connection with the insourcing of the operation and management of an MNO's mobile network.
• Representing a foreign financial institution in arbitral proceedings on the failed implementation of AI-based cash management software.
