I am an associate in our regulatory, administrative and competition team in The Hague. I advise clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters, especially in the telecommunications, postal services and financial services-sectors.
In my practice I assist companies in their dealings with complex and changing legislation coming from the the EU- and national level. I have gained experience in legal proceedings, from hearings at local municipalities up to the Court of Justice of the European Union.
My practice focusses on companies in regulated sectors. These include the telecommunication sector, postal services and financial services.
In the telecommunication sector I assist clients in market regulation (such as AMM-regulation), general regulation under the telecommunication laws (such as in the roll-out of fibre) and competition law - especially merger control.
In the postal services sector I have gained experience in challenging decisions taken by the Dutch regulator (Autoriteit Consument en Markt or ACM) and advising on the Dutch postal regulation.
In the financial services sector my practices focusses on the payment sector, giving both advice on the existing legislation (such as the IFR and PSD2) and acting in court in various proceedings, including investigations of the Autoriteit Financiƫle Markten (AFM).
Clients benefit from my regulatory background, working as counsel for the ACM.
I am a member of our Tech & Comms, Competition and Finance & Financial Regulation Groups.
