Jutta Rath

I am a Counsel in our Commercial Practice Group in Frankfurt, focusing on the automotive supply sector, where I advise our domestic and international clients on commercial and corporate matters.

As well as advising on warranty and liability issues and distribution law matters, I draft, negotiate and advise on commercial contracts and standard agreements used on B2B and B2C transactions.

Prior to joining our firm, I worked briefly as an associate at a local German firm, where my main practice centred around employment matters.

• Advising a major distributor of automotive components/accessories on setting up a new distribution system together with its business partner (a leading oil company). In this context I advised on, drafted and negotiated all relevant contracts necessary for setting up this new distribution system.
• Advising on and drafting of 14 new standard agreements to be used by the purchasing department of a major Tier-1 supplier.
• Advising on and drafting of the relevant contracts for setting up a new system of purchasing agreements for a leading Tier-1 supplier. Concurrent advice on and drafting of the relevant contracts for setting up a new system of sales agreements.
• Advising a leading US Automotive supplier on a recall campaign concerning security relevant supplier parts and representation of its interests towards its customer.
• Advising leading German Tier-1 supplier in defending against the OEM's claims in a field campaign and recourse against Tier-2 supplier.
