I am an associate in Bird & Bird's Retail & Consumer group and use my broad knowledge of commercial contracts and e-commerce legislation to advise our clients on varying commercial matters.
Commercial contracting and e-commerce related matters in the broadest sense of the word are my areas of expertise. I have a thorough knowledge of e-commerce and consumer/end-user protection law and the interaction between our clients and their customers has my particular interest. I am experienced in providing clients with practical advice in relation to day-to-day commercial issues, specifically issues relating to online sales, unfair commercial practices, warranties and advertising.
I also have extensive experience in advising clients in the field of commercial contract law. My experience includes reviewing and drafting contracts, covering a wide array of business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) contracts, including franchise agreements, distribution agreements and all kinds of terms and conditions and terms of use.
Since joining the firm in 2015, I have developed a strong focus on retailtech: the area where the Tech & Comms and Retail & Consumer sectors meet. The clients I work for are national and international companies across a range of sectors.
The growing importance of sustainability and its impact on e-commerce is another area of particular interest for me. I am well versed in sustainability legislation in the e-commerce field, specifically legislation in relation to sustainability claims, a topic that has become more and more pressing for our clients.
I am an active member of the firm's Retail & Consumer sector group and regularly work with my colleagues across our firm to advise our clients on multi-jurisdictional queries. I am one of the founders of the The Hague Sustainability Committee and am dedicated to creating a more sustainable firm.
