As a Counsel in the Intellectual Property team in Warsaw, I focus on trademark, product design and unfair competition cases. I represent clients on a broad range of commercial disputes.
Having advised clients on contentious matters for over 10 years, I believe that handling a case is an art requiring passion, diligence, strategic planning and flexibility. Most of all, it requires a lawyer with a knack for disputes.
No two clients and no two cases are alike. I have been involved in matters ranging from a single set of proceedings valued at several hundred million dollars (such as investment arbitrations), through to a series of interrelated actions (such as complex IP disputes), to litigation projects involving dozens of independent disputes (such as pursuing IP rights infringements on online marketplaces). In all new projects, my first step is to always make sure that I fully understand a client's business goals, to ensure that we deliver results within budget and deadlines. I then devise a case strategy tailored to all expectations. As the matter unfolds, I keep my clients up to speed with all developments and costs.
The adage goes that the worst settlement is better than the best judgment. I assist my clients with resolving their differences amicably and negotiating deals.
I have worked with clients from the pharmaceutical, FMCG, IT, telecommunications, automotive, aviation and construction sectors. I am an active member of our International Product Design Group and serve as vice-chair of the Arbitration and Mediation Section of the Warsaw Bar Association.
