Vincent Rezzouk-Hammachi

I am a partner of Bird & Bird in the UK, and Global Head of our Privacy Solutions practice based in our San Francisco representative office. Bird & Bird Privacy Solutions is Bird & Bird's privacy consultancy arm, which does not provide legal services. I am one of the co-heads of our San Francisco office.

In San Francisco, I continue to support my clients in privacy and data protection consultancy engagements. In San Francisco, I do not provide legal advice or services on California or any other US state law. I supervise Privacy & Data Protection consultancy engagements, which include the provision of Data Protection Officer services, AI & Privacy Governance and GDPR Representative services, across industries, all of which are delivered by our teams based in our offices outside the US.
I assist organisations across the world in implementing the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and/or the UK-GDPR, helping them to transform regulatory requirements into business procedures and processes, or helping them to select tools to support these initiatives.
I have a privacy background in both legal and consultancy and I am well-known to my clients for my positive and business-oriented approach to data protection compliance, across industries (Tech & Comms, Life Sciences, Media & Entertainments, Financial Services mainly).
I am qualified to practise law in France (Paris Bar) and have over 13 years of experience in providing business and technical assistance to clients data protection regulations, covering risks associated with the GDPR, the U.K. GDPR, the EU AI Act, the Data Act and the ePrivacy directive.
In the past, I have been involved in several projects before the European Commission and the French Competition Authority, acting as a Monitoring Trustee team member in the context of large M&A operations.
Acting as the lead Data Protection Officer for global organisations across industries, I am often involved in interactions with data protection supervisory authorities.
