The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) was adopted by the European Council on 10 October 2024, marking a significant milestone in Europe’s cybersecurity landscape. In the coming weeks, the legislative act is expected to be signed by the presidents of the Council and the European Parliament and published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
This regulation addresses the growing vulnerabilities associated with the rapid expansion of digital products and services. It establishes a unified set of cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements, including both hardware and software, ensuring their security throughout their lifecycle. This regulation is crucial in mitigating the risks of cyber attacks and enhancing the overall resilience of digital infrastructure.
