During the Queen’s Speech on 10 May 2022, the UK Government introduced a new post-Brexit Procurement Bill into the House of Lords with the aim of making procurement simpler, more transparent and reducing costs for both business and the public sector.
We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming webinar where our team of Public Procurement experts will provide analysis of the Procurement Bill.
The Procurement Bill will replace existing regulations with a single regulatory framework which aims to deliver a variety of fundamental improvements, including “slashing red tape and driving innovation” and a incorporating greater focus on social value. The new legislation is due to come into force in 2023.
In this webinar, partner and Co-head of International Projects and Procurement Group Stuart Cairns, Senior Associate Charlotte Swift and Associate Alex Kelly, will discuss the key issues arising from the bill, how they might impact procurement at a practical level, and steps authorities and bidders should be taking in preparation.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
