Bird & Bird has assisted the listed Finnish beverage company Olvi with the acquisition of the Danish brewery Vestfyen, who owns and produces, among others, brands a range of beers such as Vestfyen, Ugly Duck, Indslev Bryggeri, Willemoes, Frejdahl, Støckel, 55 Nord and Bryggeriet Refsvindinge and not least the iconic Jolly Cola. Olvi is the largest Finnish-owned business in its sector and the acquisition is intended to expand Olvi’s global market share as well as expanding its production capacity.
Bird & Bird assisted Olvi with the acquisition through partners Maria Carlsson and Morten Rosenmejer accompanied by a team consisting of associates Caroline Smith, Marie Grønlund, Pia Skovgaard Hansen, Mogens Vestergaard, Katja Djurhuus, Laura Dollerup and Ville Alahuhta.
