International law firm Bird & Bird has advised CDP Venture Capital, the largest venture capital manager in Italy, in connection with its recent investment in UK start-up Naturbeads, as part of a £7.8 million Series A round.
CDP Venture Capital is the largest venture capital manager in Italy and Naturbeads, a Bath University-founded startup, produces biodegradable cellulose microspheres as an alternative to microplastics in various products including cosmetics, detergents, and paints. Their innovative approach aims to reduce environmental pollution by replacing harmful microplastics with sustainable, natural materials.
The Series A funding round will allow Naturbeads to further develop its pioneering technology that aims to address worldwide microplastic pollution.
CDP Venture Capital, headquartered in Rome, Italy, is a venture capital firm that invests in seed-stage, early-stage, growth-stage, and later-stage companies across various sectors. These include consumer products, energy, healthcare, and technology.
