About Me

I am a commercial technology lawyer based in Japan, specialising in complex transactions and strategic legal support for clients leveraging technology to drive growth and innovation globally. My approach is to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice that helps clients navigate legal complexities while achieving their commercial objectives.

I focus on advising clients on complex commercial transactions, including technology offerings (for customers and suppliers), outsourcing, and global projects. I provide strategic support for developing and executing business initiatives and offer practical day-to-day legal advice throughout implementation. I also assist clients with balancing business operations with evolving technology regulations.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I was the legal lead for Japan and South Korea at a global management consulting firm , where I managed a broad range of legal issues and partnered closely with local, regional and global leadership. Earlier in my career at a global professional services company, I worked on large-scale technology and business outsourcing projects in Japan, as well as a wide range of other complex commercial projects.

Based on my extensive in-house experience at multinational companies, I approach matters with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset and work collaboratively to deliver legal solutions that align with business priorities. My cross-cultural experience enables me to bridge gaps and facilitate smooth collaboration across diverse teams. I am valued for my ability to simplify complexity, offer clear, actionable advice, and act as a strategic thought partner. I aim to contribute meaningfully to the success of my clients.

I am fluent in English and Japanese and am a member of the Japanese Law Translation Council of the Ministry of Justice.
