Bavo Van Pamel

I am an associate in the Tax department of the Brussels office. I advise both domestic and multinational clients on direct and indirect taxation matters.

I advise clients on various aspects of direct and indirect tax law, with a particular focus on R&D. My advisory work often has an international dimension, but I also advise on purely domestic inquiries. While the majority of my practice involves corporate clients, I also advise on individual and non-profit taxation matters.

In addition to my advisory work, I assist and represent clients during tax audits and disputes related to direct and indirect taxation.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2024, I worked for over a year in the tax department of a Big Four accounting firm. There, I provided advice on a broad range of cross-border tax inquiries related to mergers and acquisitions. I also supported clients with tax due diligences and obtaining advance tax rulings. Concurrently, I undertook a two-year tax management program at a business school.
