As a counsel in our commercial team in Düsseldorf and a member of our Automotive Sector Group, I advise domestic and international clients on all aspects of civil, commercial and distribution law, with a particular focus on the automotive sector.

I mainly advise clients in the automotive industry (mostly suppliers, but also insurance companies) as well as in the mechanical and plant engineering sector.

My practice focuses on warranty and product liability cases, drafting and advising on complex commercial contracts as well as standard agreements, in particular in cross-border transactions. I also advise our clients on all questions arising in the supply chain and on all aspects of distribution law.

Besides out-of-court advice and dispute resolution, my range of services also includes representing clients in court vis-à-vis customers and suppliers. I advise on conflicts of any kind with contractual partners as well as on the termination or other cancellation of inconvenient contractual relationships.

In addition, I provide advice on civil, commercial and distribution law in connection with M&A transactions.

• Ongoing legal advice to numerous European, American and Asian suppliers on all contractual issues (including distribution law).
• Advice and court representation of a Tier-1 supplier in a EUR 50 million warranty case against a German OEM.
• Advice and court representation of a Tier-1 automotive supplier in a warranty case against a major German OEM (approx. 345 million EUR litigation).
• Advising and representing a Tier-1 supplier on its recourse against a Tier-2 supplier due to an OEM field action.
• Coordination of the adjustment of dealer contracts of a vehicle importer to different jurisdictions.
• Commercial and distribution advice to a Chinese company on the acquisition of an insolvent German automotive supplier.
