Celine Nezet

I am a Counsel in the Restructuring & Insolvency and Dispute Resolution groups in our Paris office, and provide pragmatic advice in relation to complex situations and litigation, including in a distressed context.

I specialise in restructuring & insolvency and advise our clients in relation to financial or business restructurings of their borrowers, debtors or business partners, whether clients or suppliers, and subsidiaries. My practice covers all stages and processes of restructurings, whether conducted in out-of-court processes (mandats ad hoc and conciliation) or formal court-controlled safeguard and insolvency proceedings.

In addition to advising clients in relation to distressed situations, I also assist them in all types of commercial and liability disputes that they may come across in the context of restructurings, including liability actions brought by insolvency officials against shareholders, creditors and key stakeholders.

I have also developed expertise in commercial litigation and assist our national and international clients on a wide range of commercial disputes before the French courts, including in the automotive, energy and utilities and financial services sectors.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2015, I worked in the restructuring and litigation teams of two renowned international law firms as well as in a French boutique law firm.
