Daniel Basañez

I am associate in the Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property department in the Madrid office.

I have experience in different areas of the Intellectual Property field, such as advising clients on trademarks, patents, unfair competition, trade secrets or plant varieties. I have a complete picture of IP, as I previously worked with the Prosecution team and I am currently in the IP Enforcement team, in which I mainly focus on litigation.

I have also worked together with the Privacy & Data Protection team, so I am familiar with a wide range of sectors, such as technology, beverage, healthcare and automotive.

I consider myself to be surrounded by great professionals, together with whom I try to provide solutions that are very detail-oriented and client-focussed. I feel comfortable working in an international environment and I like to keep abreast of developments in the technology and IP sector. In such a technical field, it is essential to have highly specialised lawyers who are familiar with new technologies.
