Daniel Jakob

I am part of our trade mark practice group in Düsseldorf and advise our national and international clients in all areas of trade mark law and unfair competition law.

I support our clients in registration, opposition and cancellation proceedings as well as in infringement actions arising from national or European trademarks and in the management of large trademark portfolios and complex trademark disputes. I also advise on unfair competition law and advertising law, in particular with regard to environmental advertising.

After my second state examination, I completed an LL.M. in Commercial Law at the University of Cape Town in 2023, focussing on courses in competition law, corporate governance and ESG compliance.

Before joining the team at Bird & Bird, I worked as a research assistant and legal trainee at various international law firms in the areas of patent law, trade mark law and data protection law.
